OKUAPEMMAN ORGANIZATION COMMUNITY SERVICES

The Okuapeman Organization, an affiliate member of the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago (GNC), recently made a significant impact in the fight against childhood hunger by volunteering at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Libertyville, Illinois. FMSC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to malnourished children around the world.
Located at 742 East Park Avenue (Hwy 176), Libertyville, IL 60048, the Libertyville packing site is one of eight permanent food-packing locations operated by FMSC nationwide. At this site, volunteers hand-pack MannaPack® meals, specially formulated to assist in reversing and preventing undernutrition. These meals are then shipped to nearly 70 countries, reaching children in need.
With dedication, energy, and a shared passion for service, the Okuapeman Organization joined other volunteer groups to make a real difference. Together, they packed 95 boxes totaling 54,720 meals, each carefully prepared to meet the nutritional needs of children in crisis. These meals are destined for communities struggling with food insecurity, offering hope and nourishment to thousands of children.
Beyond volunteering their time, the Okuapeman Organization also contributed a generous donation to FMSC, further supporting the organization’s mission of ending childhood hunger. By combining hands-on service with financial support, the Okuapeman Organization exemplifies the spirit of global citizenship, compassion, and community leadership.
“Being part of FMSC’s mission allowed us to see firsthand how teamwork and dedication can create tangible change,” said a representative from the Okuapeman Organization. “We are proud to contribute to a cause that nourishes bodies and builds hope for the future.”
Through initiatives like this, the Okuapeman Organization and Feed My Starving Children demonstrate that even small actions, when combined, can make a monumental impact. Together, they are helping move the world closer to a future where no child goes hungry.
